Q2. How does your media product Represent particular social groups?

-The photos that i have used represent men and women because of the way i have asked my model to pose, you can see that only a girl would do these poses. i would not ask a man to bend over and cover his mouth up in a cheeky shocked pose. The text that i have used also shows which gender my magazine is aimed at, you can see this by the way that i have worded my double page spread, i have worded it the way a woman would want to read it. 

-The photos that i have used would appeal more to younger people as i have dressed my models in short and revealing dresses, i have done this so it can relate to people in everyday life because people don't go out to concerts in trackies wellies and hoodies with scarf and a hat. I feel that older people would not appreciate this because they feel girls should be more modest and not wear clothes that are so revealing because older people feel it is better to leave what you can't see to the imagination. 

-My magazine has a wide range of audience and i have made it so you can read it no matter what religion or sexuality. How ever if you are from a different nationality it may be difficult for you to read the magazine as the main person in the magazine "Paige Gibbons" because her section in the magazine is all in English and all of her songs will be as well. 

-The genre of my magazine is shown well because of how i have laid it out and i have used models are dressed in the way i wanted them to, this reflects the genre they are for. Also the colours and font that i have used are very pop styled, so they also reflect the genre of my magazine. 

-In my magazine i have used mostly girls for my photo's and images because they are easier to get the models because i do dancing and there are mostly girls there, that's where i met and found Paige. I asked her to be my model for the magazine and she was more than happy to say yes, if i asked one of my boy mates to do it they would go all shy and not want to do it.

Evaluation, Question 6

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

The skills i have learnt from the project on photography is what to have the model wearing, where they should be standing, if i need a shadow or the lighting of where they are standing. These are all valuable points that i need to take into consideration as they could make or break the photo, because the colours of the clouthes could wash out your skin colouring or if you stand in the wrong place you can't change the background to whatever you want.

The skills i learnt whilst i was using photoshop i learnt how to cut out a person and not having the background so you can place them anywhere and not take the background aswell. Also on InDesign i used the guide lines which helped with my layout out on my double page so it looks neater and more proffessional.

The tricky challege's that i had to over come was that i didn't have the text that i wanted so i had go on to the internet and download a text that i used. Another problem which i found whilst making my contents pages was that i needed to decide how many photo's to have on it, i wanted a main one but i didn't know how many small ones to have around it or next to it, to decide i looked at other magazine contents pages and based mine on them.

The technologies which i used for this was the macs with photoshop, Indesign and Illistrator. Also i used my camera to take the photo's which i used for the magazine, i used the computers to chose which photo's were appropriate and which ones were not right for the style of the magazine.
