Double-Page Spread
Layout.
The effects this double page are that it makes you more interested in the life of Lee Pomery. The ratio of text to image is about 20:80. on this double-page sprea my eyes are drawn to the writing and to the head of the guitar thats in the picture, i am drawn to the writing because it is at different angles and fits together like a jigsaw puzzle i think it is very interesting to look at. i am also drawn to the head of the guitar as the way it has been photographed because it looks like it is coming out of the picture and it drew in my attention. there aren't any sub-headings in this article.
Text.
The language that is being used are informal because it's not a letter it is more of a casual thing. In this article has no alliteration it also does't metaphors or any other languages techniques.
Image.
The way this image has beeen taken and they way it has been placed on the page is different and very unique. The way the photo has been taken it looks like the head of the guitar head is coming out of the page and Lee's head is really far away. The clothes his is wearing are casual but smart as he is wearing a shirt and jeans but doesn't have the button done up on the shirt which makes it casual. There is only one image being used for this double page sperad there aren't any little ones of him playing the guitar, but thre are on pages further in the magazine.
Codes and Conventions.
The codes and conventions being used in this magazine are guitars, as the magazine is called BASS it is a good idea to have guitars on the front cover and through out the the magazine. also as the magazine is called BASS the article on Lee Pomery is good because he plays base guitar for take that, but you never see him, he is normally behind the stage along with the other band players.
Target Audience.
I think the Target audience for this magazine is people who are interested in guitars and musical intruments. I would say that it is for people who are most interested in bass guitars most.
